This is one of the unpublished illustration from the fourth book of Midda's Chronicles, created in the summer/fall of 2011.
Midda Bontor, the main character of the book, dies in a fire in the inn of her friend Be'Sihl. During her funeral celebration, Be'Sihl Ahvn-Qa, an old friend of her, and Carsa Anloch, a friend/enemy of her, watch horrified the burned corpse of Midda coming back to "life" as a zombie, like other corpses there present. So, the need to destroy those zombies becomes a priority task for all living humans there present, including Be'Sihl and Carsa who take as personal duty the destruction of Midda, the black queen. This scene represents an event of the fourth (and latest) tale of the book. The image was drew by with pencil and India ink.
